Gilbert Developments Ltd is a family-run development business which was established in January 1988. We are based in Jedburgh, in the Scottish Borders, and operate locally, using architects and tradespeople from the surrounding area. We primarily build new houses, but also handle conversions and planning applications.

We are currently developing two sites, one at Nisbet and one at Oxnam, both near Jedburgh. To have a look at some of the beautiful homes we build, click here.

We also happily construct houses for individual clients to their own design and specification.  Over the years of building experience we have dealt with many varied projects and can provide many different designs and specifications, including terraces of six houses, semi detached and detached homes. Our expertise means that we are perfectly suited to creating your dream home.

We are registered with the National House Builders Council, an independent regulatory body for the UK’s house building industry. This involves providing the 10 year Buildmark Cover on newly built and converted homes. With this, you can rest assured that not only is our construction work of the highest quality and to set industry standards, but also that we have invested extra protection in your home.
